How to turn off Bluetooth when your Mac sleeps
Your headphones keep connecting to a Mac that’s asleep. Turn Bluetooth off at sleep, and back on when you wake it.

macOS keeps Bluetooth on through sleep. MacFixes turns it off when the Mac sleeps and back on when it wakes.
What macOS gives you
Bluetooth stays on while the Mac sleeps, so nearby headphones and speakers can still connect to it. You can switch Bluetooth off by hand in Control Center, but there’s no option to do it automatically at sleep.

Will my Bluetooth keyboard still wake the Mac?
No — with Bluetooth off, a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse can’t wake it. On a desktop Mac, the fix’s settings point this out.
